About Us
.Sonoma County Adult Coed Soccer League is a recreational outdoor coed soccer league in Sonoma County, northern California. The league starts during March and we play until the end of June. Games are Saturdays in parks such as Galvin (Santa Rosa), Trione (Santa Rosa), Santa Rosa HS, Piner HS and others.
We are a non-profit organization and our league fees pay for field insurances, referees, field marking, website, line marking equipment, paint and others.
In order to keep an even level of competition, we divide the teams into two divisions:
Division A. Players are experienced and may have played college or semi-pro.
Division B. Players are experienced and may have played high school or college.
We have teams from Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Forestville, Sonoma, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Healdsburg, and other cities within Sonoma County.
The league is for men over 30* years of age and women over 18 years of age.
*Men: One player may be 21 or over; two players may be 25-30, the rest must be over 30 years of age.
League rules and regulations:
All rules based upon the current USSF/FIFA Laws of the Game unless specifically mentioned in the following:
Specific SCACSL Rules of the Game (see Rules & Regulations page for more info):
Five touch rule.
Macho Rule.
No charging of the goalies.
No slide tackling or playing on the ground whatsoever. (Exception: Goalie can slide in the goalie box.)
Home team is listed first on game schedule. HOME team changes jerseys in the event that both teams have the same color.
Number of Players:
Rosters shall have only 30 players.
Player must be on roster to play. NO EXCEPTIONS. NO ADDITIONS ON GAME DAY.
